The Virginia Green Industry Council will produce their 2nd annual Virginia Garden Festival this fall. The purpose is to promote the Virginia horticulture industry with all its products and services and to educate the general public about the benefits of responsible environmental stewardship.

The VGIC is composed of the many specific commodity groups within the horticulture industry here in Virginia and includes growers, landscapers, retailers, educational groups and service companies. It is our purpose to monitor legislation that affects our industry, provide timely information to our members and the public about gardening issues and to encourage the homeowner to get involved in all the pleasures and benefits that gardening offers.

You are invited to take part in the 2007 Virginia Garden Festival as a sponsor.

The levels of support include:

bulletBronze $250 - $999 Your company listed in the program and on the Sponsor Board. A free exhibit space.
bulletSilver $1,000 – $1,999 Your company listed in the program, on the Sponsor Board and a link from our Virginiagardening.com web site to yours. A free exhibit space.
bulletGold $2,000 – plus Your company listed in the program, on the Sponsor Board, a link from our Virginiagardening.com web site to yours, a free exhibit space and mention of your company as a key sponsor in our news releases / advertising.

This event is directed to the general public in Richmond and central Virginia. Exhibitors will number 60 plus this year and include plants, landscaping, gardening services, crafts, food, a kid’s corner, music, speakers and live gardening radio with Andre Viette. Over 3500 people attended our one day event in 2006. We have been promoting the Virginia Garden Festival since the beginning of 2007 and will continue our push up to the show date.

We ask for and encourage your support not only for the VGIC, but also for the growth of gardening in Virginia that stimulates the sale of Virginia products and services.
